Sunnier weather is finally here and it’s a great time to get the outside of your property looking great with a spot of water blasting. But if you think it looks easy, think again. This job is one best left to experts like us.
We offer water blasting services for both residential and commercial premises. We’re experienced, skilled and we know what we’re doing. Just as important, we have the right equipment. Water blasting is deceptive – it looks easy. You just point a stick at a surface and a jet of water makes that surface clean. Right? Wrong! There’s more to it than that.
For example, when using a water blaster on stucco, monolithic cladding, weatherboards and similar surfaces, you need to use lower pressure and stand back so you keep the nozzle at least one metre from your walls. Spraying movements need to be swift so that the action resembles more of a pressure wash than blasting. To reduce the risk of water getting through the tops of window frames and gaps in weatherboards, it also helps if you can keep the spray from the nozzle in a vertical line across the house. This will clean these surfaces and won’t force water through any cracks – if that happens, then the internal damage can be considerable.
That’s just stucco, monolithic cladding, weatherboards and the like. What about timber decks? Or paved driveways and pathways? They’re totally different and require specific techniques and equipment to achieve the best results, with no damage. The pressure has to be right for each surface – too high and you can do a lot of harm to the surface and cause major issues elsewhere. Too low, and it will look like the surface hasn’t been cleaned at all. As far as we’re concerned, that is a waste of time and money.
We hope these examples give you a better idea of how complex water blasting really is. There is a lot to take into consideration with each project. Hiring a machine and hoping for the best can be a recipe for disaster if you don’t know what you’re doing. This is why we strongly recommend you contact us and book our residential or commercial water blasting services. We have the gear, the skills, the experience and, most of all, we understand that no two water blasting jobs are exactly the same!
